Terms of Service & Structural Engineering Reference Disclaimer
Last updated: October 20, 2026 · Effective immediately for all AutoPlan.systems users and visitors.
Any spatial bounding-box extraction, material takeoff quantity, unit cost estimate, IRC/IBC/ADA compliance probability, or code-agent remediation suggestion generated by AutoPlan.systems is provided strictly for preliminary estimation and pre-construction reference purposes only. All structural framing plans, load paths, foundation footings, and building code compliance determinations must be independently reviewed, verified, and stamped by a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect (RA), and the local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) prior to permitting or construction. AutoPlan.systems does not replace a licensed structural engineer, architect, or municipal building inspector.
1. Nature of the Service & Professional Responsibility
AutoPlan.systems (“Service”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a web-based architectural plan scanning, deterministic material takeoff, and probabilistic building code screening workbench powered by TypeSafe Jev (jev-1.14.0).
- Preliminary Takeoff & Cost Estimates: Material quantities and 3-tier unit costs reflect national benchmark averages plus standard waste factors and do not account for site-specific geotechnical conditions, regional labor rates, or supplier quotes.
- Final Authority Rests With Licensed Professionals & AHJ: Local municipal amendments, snow/wind/seismic design categories, and field conditions govern all construction. You retain 100% sole responsibility for verifying all measurements, spans, fasteners, and code requirements before ordering materials or commencing work.
2. Intellectual Property & Uploaded Architectural Plans
You retain full ownership of all architectural blueprints, CAD exports, and structural plans uploaded to AutoPlan.systems. By submitting plans for scanning, you grant AutoPlan.systems a limited, non-exclusive license solely to process, store in Neon Object Storage / Postgres, and display that content back to your workspace.
3. Disclaimer of Warranties (“AS IS”)
THE SERVICE AND ALL TAKEOFF QUANTITIES, COST ESTIMATES, CODE COMPLIANCE SCORES, AND REMEDIATION PROPOSALS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSE, OR ENGINEERING ACCURACY.
